InSite Buys 21.7-Acre Site for 135,000 SF Kroger Co. Build-to-Suit in Romulus, MI

InSite Real Estate purchased a 21.7-acre site and signed a long-term lease with The Kroger Co. for a 135,000 SF single-tenant build-to-suit building at 15675 Wahrman Road in Romulus, MI.  The building, an automated, robotic customer fulfillment center that will prepare and ship grocery orders to customers within a 90-mile radius, is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2022.  The Kroger Co. is one of America’s largest food retailers, operating 2,755 supermarkets in 35 states under a variety of local banners and 35 food processing plants across the country.
